Pentagon Forge – Overall equipment efficiency & Condition Monitoring
Pentagon Forge Pvt Ltd is a drop forging manufacturer based at Rajkot Gujarat and they are using KAESER compressors to operate all the drop forging hammers they have at their manufacturing facility. They wanted to measure the efficiency of KAESER compressors as it is one of the main machines which consumes a lot of energy. Almost 30% energy bill goes toward running this compressors.
We developed software for data acquisition from the KAESER compressor and started transmitting and analyzing data of idle hours vs usage hours. This data helped top management as well as shop floor managers to get vital insight into the usage pattern of the compressor and they modified working patterns to save at least 20% on energy cost
Further, we developed an Android app to monitor vital parameters from PLC/HMI like Running hours, Alerts on the machine, PSI (Pressure), and temperature. We also developed software to generate alerts based on 3 level of values defined by users.
